Florida, Day 1

Hello everyone! We arrived safely here in Florida today after 11a. We took off out of LaGuardia, which was a nicer airport than we were expecting. Very up to date! The flight went great, and we ended up getting into Florida almost 40 min ahead of schedule. Megan and I really enjoyed the view from the window.

I feel like I still get just as excited as I did the first time when I look out the window. Tampa welcomed us with a bright sun and warm air. This is a start to a great vacation. After getting picked up by Jeff and Keeley, we began our trip.
Our first stop was lunch at Bahama Breeze. The warm air reminded us that we were on vacation, and, in case that wasn't enough, the tropical drinks did the trick! It was great to sit in the shade and think, "Wow, I'm a little too warm." It helps melt away any traces of winter.

The food was so good, and we really had a great lunch. Coconut Crusted Shrimp Tacos... and a Chipotle Bowl. Yes, please.
We got to Jeff and Keeley's house, took a nap, and relaxed. What a great area to relax in. Studying the Watchtower on a Florida porch is so peaceful. Then, a home cooked dinner (8:30 is dinner time, right?) with a new friend.

    See you tomorrow!
